Immunization Exclusion Day | El Día de Exclusión Escolar por no Presentar las Vacunas

posted Feb 13, 2018, 9:43 AM by Salem Keizer

Immunization Exclusion Day is Wednesday, February 21, 2018. If your child is not up-to-date on the required vaccinations for the State of Oregon or does not have a valid exemption on file, they will be excluded from valuable instruction time per Senate Bill 895.

Missed instructional time can be highly detrimental to student success at all levels of education. In research conducted by the Oregon Department of Education, students who experience chronic absenteeism- especially in elementary aged students, have been found to experience higher dropout rates and difficulty in reaching high school graduation.

To ensure your student avoids unnecessary exclusion from classes, please review the required vaccinations below and contact your school if you have any questions or the department of student services at 503-399-3101.
